Graph Type: Bar
The Graph Type dialog box contains the following tabs for the Bar graph that allow you to create different subtypes of Bar graphs:
-
Horizontal
-
Vertical
-
3D
You can select one of the following layouts for the bar graph:
-
Clustered: Represents data as bars or risers side by side on the horizontal or vertical axis.
-
Stacked: Shows the relationship of individual items to the whole.
-
Dual Axis Clustered: For Clustered bar graphs, makes a bar graph with two numeric axes. This allows you to chart some of the series on one axis and some of the series on another axis.
-
Dual Axis Stacked: For Stacked bar graphs, makes a bar graph with two numeric axes. This allows you to chart some of the series on one axis and some of the series on another axis.
-
Bipolar Clustered: Have two horizontal axes and place alternate risers in each group, side by side in the top and bottom half of the graph. The scaling is the same for the vertical axis, but the labels are placed on alternate sides.
-
Bipolar Stacked: Have two horizontal axes and place alternate risers in each group, stacked in the top and bottom half of the graph. The scaling is the same for the vertical axis, but the labels are placed on alternate sides.
-
Percent: A bar version of a Pie chart. Each group calculates the percent of the total required for each series. The axis goes from zero to 100%.
-
Absolute: Draws bar risers on top of each other to show the absolute relationships between data series.
-
3D Riser: Applies a three-dimensional depth effect to the graph frame and risers. It is the standard 3D graph. Do not select this layout if you want a flat two-dimensional graph.
-
3D Floating: Displays three-dimensional floating cubes on the graph.
When you select a subtype in the dialog box, an example appears in the lower window. Click OK to apply the selected graph type to your report data.
