Editing view filters in Grid/Graphs on documents

Prerequisite

  • If any Grid/Graphs are in edit mode, the Data menu displays Report Editor options, rather than Document Editor options. If red hashed lines appear around a Grid/Graph, you are in edit mode. Press ESC to exit edit mode.

  1. Open the document in the Document Editor. (How?)

  2. Do one of the following to open the View Filter dialog box:

    • Right-click the Grid/Graph containing the view filter to be edited, and select Edit View Filter. The Grid/Graph is already selected when the View Filter dialog box opens.

    • From the Data menu of the Document Editor, select Edit View Filter. From the drop-down list of all the Grid/Graphs on the document, select the Grid/Graph containing the view filter to be edited.

  3. To change a part of the qualification, click the part of the qualification (that is, the Field, Operator, or Value) to edit. You can then select its replacement.

  4. Click New to add another qualification to the existing view filter.

  5. Create the new qualification by specifying the Field, Operator, and Value. (How?)
  6. To change the operator that connects qualifications, click the operator and select another from the drop-down list.

  7. Click Clear to replace the existing view filter

  8. Click Click here to start a new qualification.
  9. Create the new qualification by specifying the Field, Operator, and Value. (How?)
  10. After you have completed your edits, click OK to return to the Document Editor. The newly created view filter is applied to the Grid/Graph when you view the document as a PDF.
