Group Tables

If a set of tables contains the exact same set of objects, these tables can be grouped together to represent a single table.

  1. Import multiple tables with the same schema using the Data Source Dialog.
  2. During import a dialog appears prompting you to select the tables you want to group.
  3. You add or remove tables from the existing partition on the Preview Dialog. Click the drop-down arrow for the table you want to modify, choose Group Partition, and select or deselect tables.
  • Group tables are not supported in following scenarios:
    • Multiple partitioned tables in a database with the same DBRole and namespace
    • Multiple .csv files in a URL location
    • Multiple Excel sheets

    Partitioned tables that come from two different sources are not supported.
