Upload and Download Packages

Starting in Strategy One (March 2026), you can download an undo package to test and troubleshoot issues with migration.

Starting in MicroStrategy 2021 Update 7, you can upload and download migration package files (*.mmp). This allows you to reuse projects by uploading packages, even though you may not have access to the reused project source.

Upload Package

  1. Open the Workstation window.

  2. In the Navigation pane, click Migrations.

  3. Click Upload Icon Upload.

  4. Select the package file (*.mmp).

  5. Select the Package Type.

  6. Select the Storage Location.

  7. Click Upload.

Download Package

  1. In the Navigation pane, click Migrations.

  2. Right-click a package and choose Download.

  3. Starting in Strategy One (March 2026), you can download the undo package after migrating a package into a target environment. Right-click a migrated package and choose from the following:

    • Download Source Package: Download the package.

    • Download Rollback Package: Download the undo package to remigrate.
