Introduction to the Report Objects Window
The Report Objects panel displays all of the objects that are part of the report, such as attributes, metrics, custom groups, and consolidations. You can drag and drop these objects to and from the report layout, displayed on the right, to add or remove data from display on the report. You can:
- Drag and drop items from the Report Objects panel onto the report layout to add them to the report.
- Drag and drop items from the report layout to the Report Objects panel to remove them from the report.
- Drag and drop items from the Report Objects panel to the Page-by area to separate the data into pages. For background information about page-by, see Group Data by Page: Page-By.
- Drag and drop items from the Report Objects panel to the Report Filter area to create a filter qualification. For background information about filtering, see Introduction to Filters.
- Determine which attribute forms are displayed in the report. For steps, see To determine which attribute forms to display in a grid report.
To access the Report Objects panel, open a report in Design Mode. From the Tools menu, select Report Objects. The Report Objects panel appears to the left of the report.
