Clear Imported Content Before Sharing

To ensure your data is shared in a secured way, you can choose to hide in the Excel workbook before you share content with others. Only users with MicroStrategy access are able to retrieve data in their assigned access and privileges.

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), content that is imported as a visualization will also be hidden when you use Clear Data.

  1. Connect to the MicroStrategy for Office add-in. MicroStrategy for Office opens in a side panel.

  2. Click the objects menu and click Clear Data.

  3. Click OK.

  4. The data clears and can be retrieved for logged users.

View Cleared Data

  1. Connect to the MicroStrategy for Office add-in. MicroStrategy for Office opens in a side panel.

  2. Click View Data.

  3. Data displays in the workbook and side panel based on user access and privileges.
