Graph Format Dialog: Data Labels
You can define formatting for all or select data labels using the Data Labels tab in the Graph Format dialog.
If you are formatting a Pie Chart, see the Pie Chart section.
From the first drop-down, select All data values or a data label associated with a series in a graph.
Data Labels:
Show all data labels Show or hide data labels for graph items in the graph visualization.
- Location: Specify where you want the data labels to display.
Show value labels Show or hide the value labels in the graph visualization.
Show text labels Show or hide the text labels in the graph visualization.
Tooltip:
Show Tooltips Show or hide tooltips when a user hovers over data in the graph. Type the tooltip text you want to display in the field. You can have an automatically generated tooltip displayed by typing {&TOOLTIP} (the default value of the field), type static text, or type a shortcut variable to have your text automatically replaced by a value when the graph is displayed.
Pie Chart
Data Labels:
Pie Names Display the names of the pie chart visualization.
Show all data labels Show or hide data labels for graph items in the graph visualization.
- Value Position Choose to display value labels On Slice or Outside Slice.
Show Text Label Show or hide text labels for graph items in the graph visualization.
- Text Position Choose to display text labels On Slice or Outside Slice.
Use "Smart" Label Placement Adjust the graph so that labels are spread out to better accommodate for the size of the graph visualization.
Display labels on sides Align the data labels to the left of the graph visualization.
Tooltip:
