Subscribe a Dashboard, Document, or Report to a Cache Update

In MicroStrategy Workstation you can create cache subscriptions through Distribution Services. This subscription allows a report or document to be run as quickly as possible using the latest available data without query the data warehouse.

Cache update subscriptions refresh the cache for a document, specified report, or subset report. A cache is a pre-calculated and pre-processed result set that is stored in memory on the Intelligence server machine and on disk. This enables the report or document to be retrieved more quickly than re-executing the request against the data warehouse.
