Add a Custom Connector

A connector allows you to import data from a source. Adding your own custom connector can allow you to import data from sources other than the ones listed on theData Sources dialog. You can create custom connectors using MicroStrategy Data Connector SDK.
Use to the Connector Gallery in MicroStrategy Community to download sample connectors previously created in MicroStrategy Data Connector SDK. Each connector includes a list of features, prerequisites, and installation instructions.
If you download a connector from the Connector Gallery, complete the installation instructions first. Then, follow the procedure below to add the connector to the Data Sources dialog for future use.
- Create a blank dossier or open an existing one.

Choose Add Data > New Data to import data into a new dataset.

In the Datasets panel, click More next to the dataset name and choose Edit Dataset to add data to the dataset. The Preview Dialog opens. Click Add a new table.
The Data Sources dialog opens.
- Scroll down past the data sources and click Add Connector . The Add a New Connector dialog opens.
- Drag the connector file (.mstrcc) onto the dialog.
- Click Add.

Click Add customized connector and manually enter the connector information.
