Tools menu: Advanced Settings/VLDB Properties
When you select VLDB Properties from the Advanced Settings option of the Tools menu, the Metric Editor shows the VLDB Properties (Metric) dialog box, which consists of:

The Analytical Engine folder, which contains the following VLDB properties:

Null checking for Analytical Engine indicates how to handle arithmetic operations with null values.

Subtotal Dimensionality Aware enables subtotaling based on the dimensionality of a metric.

The Metrics folder, which contains the following VLDB properties:

Integer Constant in Metric determines whether to add a ".0" after an integer.

Metric Join Type sets the join type at the metric level, which determines how the metric is joined to other metrics. This setting affects the results for all reports using the metric. For more information, see Setting join types for metrics.
The Metric Join Type option in the Tools menu is a shortcut to the same Metric Join Type VLDB property.

Null Check indicates how to handle arithmetic operations with null values.

Zero Check indicates how to handle division by zero or when to check for zeros in the denominator during division calculations.

A display showing a description of the folder currently selected

A SQL Preview area showing, when applicable, the SQL code corresponding to the setting currently selected
