Metric Editor: Layout

The Metric Editor includes the following:

• A Formula tab, used to define the metric, which includes the following:

• The Object Browser which allows you to search for, locate, and select the objects, such as facts and attributes, to define the metric.

• The Shortcut Bar containing shortcut icons to commonly used folders such as My Personal Objects, Public Objects, and Attributes in the default group displayed as My Shortcuts. You can customize the Shortcut Bar by adding, renaming, and deleting groups and folders.

  The Shortcut Bar cannot be displayed unless the Object Browser is shown.

• The metric definition pane which displays the formula and calculation level, condition, and transformation components of the metric.

• A Subtotals/Aggregation tab, used to select the functions for grand totals, dynamic aggregation, and subtotals.

• A menu bar, used to access functions specific to the Metric Editor, in addition to the standard Windows options.

• A toolbar used to quickly access standard Windows functions and other functions specific to the Metric Editor.
