Setting the default grid Autostyle

The default grid Autostyle sets a report Autostyle for the whole document. That is, the report Autostyle is applied to any new grid added to the document in a Grid/Graph. Report Autostyles are pre-defined report styles. Each provides a distinctive format, color schema, and font to change the appearance of a report.

A report Autostyle is an Autostyle used for reports; do not confuse this with document Autostyles, which format a document. For more information on report Autostyles, see Selecting an autostyle for a report using the report editor; for more information on document Autostyles, see Formatting documents using predefined formats (Autostyles).

Control defaults, which store default formatting properties by control type, are another way to set the default grid Autostyle for Grid/Graphs.

To set the default grid Autostyle

  1. Open a document in the Document Editor. (How?)

  2. From the Format menu, select Document Properties. The Document Properties dialog box opens.

  3. Select the report Autostyle from the Default grid autostyle drop-down list.
