Selecting a viewing angle for a 3D graph style

You can select the appearance of a 3D graph report by choosing from three-dimensional angle defaults from which the 3D graph can be viewed.

To select a viewing angle for a 3D graph style

  1. Open a report. (How?)

  2. If the report is not already in Graph view, from the View menu, select Graph View to display the report as a graph.

  3. From the Graph menu, select 3D Settings. The Preferences dialog box opens.

The 3D Settings option is enabled only if the graph style is a 3D graph. To apply a 3D graph style to a graph, see Applying a 3D graph style.

  4. Expand the 3DGraph StyleOptions category, where Graph Style is the type of 3D graph you are formatting.

  5. Select the 3D Options category.

  6. From the Preset drop-down list, select a default viewing angle. You can then modify the preset viewing angles to suit your requirements, as described in Defining a viewing angle.

  7. When you have made your selection, do one of the following:

    • Click Apply to save the selections without closing the dialog box.

    • Click OK to save the selections and return to the graph.
