Reconnecting to a server

At the bottom of the File menu is a list of the most recently used connections. When you select one of these connections from the File menu, you are automatically connected to that project source or Narrowcast Server, with the login information that you used previously. This provides a quick way to access commonly used metadata sources.

Command Manager also provides a method for restoring a dropped connection to a server. Select Reconnectfrom the Connection menu to restore a connection.

To connect to a metadata source to which you have previously connected

From the File menu, choose the connection from the Most Recently Used Connections list. A Script window opens, connected to that project source or Narrowcast Server.

To restore a lost connection

  1. Select the Script window whose connection has been lost.
  2. From the Connection menu, choose Reconnect. Command Manager attempts to restore the connection.
