Add Dataset Objects to a Text Field

You can add standard attributes, metrics, or derived objects to a text field. See Introduction to Attributes, Metrics, and Groups for information about how to create derived attributes or metrics that you can add them to text fields.

1. Drag an object from the Datasets panel to the text field.

2. Release the mouse button. The object appears in the text field.

You can also create a derived metric by typing a function directly in the text field.

Enter {REVENUE-COST}, where Revenue and Cost are both metrics, in the text field.
