MicroStrategy ONE

How to Enable Integrated Authentication

Integrated authentication enables a Windows user to log in once to their Windows machine. The user does not need to log in again separately to MicroStrategy Developer or MicroStrategy Web.

Implementing integrated authentication in a MicroStrategy environment involves the following:

  • Configuring a controller (often either a Microsoft Active Directory domain controller or a Kerberos system) to apply user authentication
  • Linking a Windows domain user to a MicroStrategy user
  • Defining a project source to use integrated authentication
  • Using the external controller to authenticate users for MicroStrategy Web

For details on how to configure your MicroStrategy system to use integrated authentication, see the Authentication section of the System Administration Help.

  1. Access the MicroStrategy Web Administrator page. (How?)

  2. From the pane on the left, select Default properties. The Default Server Properties page opens.

  3. In the Login area, select the Enabled checkbox for Integrated Authentication.

  4. Click Save.
