Find and Replace: Graph Preferences: Web/HTML Document Display tab

Before you begin

This dialog box is displayed when you select Set the graph preferences individually on the Find and Replace dialog box. For information about setting graph preferences for a report, seeGraph Preferences: Options, Size category.

The Web/HTML Document Display tab contains default options for Web and HTML document display.

For each graph preference that you want to change, make the change and select the Apply check box to the right of the preference. Click OKto return to the Find and Replace dialog box. For example, to save the graph dimensions for all the reports selected in the find process, select Save dimensions when report is closed, then select the Apply check box to the far right.

Options include:

  • Save dimensions when report is closed: Saves the width and height dimensions of the graph when the user of the report closes and saves the report

  • Use these pixel dimensions: Allows you to set the dimensions for the width and height, in pixels, of graphs:

  • Lock aspect ratio of X by Y from the Size tab: Uses the ratio dimensions defined above for the report window.

  • Expand background frame to accommodate recalculated legend sizes: Automatically expands the size of the background frame if the recalculated legend size is larger than the current background frame.

This option overrides other sizing options and can lead to an unexpected frame size.

  • Show graph in format: Allows you to select a graph format from the list: JPEG, PNG, or BMP. In general, the PNG format reduces, and may even eliminate, any blurriness within graph reports. It is also the best format to use if you intend to use transparency effects in the graphs.
