Mac for Workstation End of Support

The Strategy Workstation client for Mac is scheduled to retire by December 2023. Support for security and services updates on Workstation for Mac will remain available until June 2024. This strategy enables Strategy to refine and optimize Windows products to enhance security, boost performance, and maintain compliance.

In the MicroStrategy 2021 Update 12 release, Strategy Workstation will have a final General Availability (GA) update for Mac users. After MicroStrategy 2021 Update 12, new product features will be exclusive to Windows OS. Therefore, Strategy recommends that you migrate to Windows OS or use a virtual machine (VM) to download Workstation so that you can utilize all the latest product features. If you want to continue using Workstation on Mac, Strategy recommends upgrading to the most recent release to continue receiving security upgrades.

Strategy Support

You can download the latest version, MicroStrategy 2021 Update 12, from the Strategy download site. Strategy will push security updates to the download site to support defects and upgrades until June 2024. You can continue to use Workstation on Mac to build dossiers and model data using the latest version.

Until June 2024 we will only consider certain security defects which can be logged using Strategy Community. All other enhancement requests or defects specific to Workstation for Mac will not be considered. Strategy Support is committed to ensure your feedback is used to steer security updates.
