Version 2021

Introduction to the Mobile SDK

The Mobile SDK provides resources to customize mobile applications built using the MicroStrategy Mobile App Platform, for Android and iOS mobile devices. Using the Mobile SDK, you can rebrand your application and preconfigure it, and customize it to use custom help files or perform actions such as disabling software encryption and performing specific checks before launching. You can take advantage of MicroStrategy's security and authentication functionality, and features such as integration with Google Maps and Good Dynamics. You can use MicroStrategy's wide array of out-of-the-box widgets, as well as create custom widgets that extend MicroStrategy functionality. For iOS devices, you can use MicroStrategy Command Center to create a powerful, inexpensive mission control center, with multiple iPads controlling a wall of HDTV screens.

  • Mobile SDK for iOS

Mobile SDK for iOS allows you to compile the MicroStrategy Mobile application for iOS mobile devices. It includes a project for the MicroStrategy Mobile application, along with documentation in the MSDL. The project is preconfigured to work with Xcode and the iOS SDK, and thus provides a quick and convenient way to perform your customizations. This version of the Mobile SDK for iOS also supports integration with Good Dynamics, AirWatch, and MobileIron. To learn more about the capabilities of the Mobile SDK for iOS, refer to What Can You Do with the Mobile SDK for iOS?

App updates submitted to the App Store must now include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK. To enable 64-bit in your project, Apple recommends that you use the default Xcode build setting of “Standard architectures” to build a single binary with both 32-bit and 64-bit code.

  • Mobile SDK for Android Mobile SDK for Android allows you to compile the MicroStrategy Mobile application for Android mobile devices. It includes a project for the MicroStrategy Mobile application, along with documentation in the MSDL.
