Generate a Key for Mapbox

MicroStrategy Geospatial Services is a mapping capability, powered by Mapbox. This enhanced map visualization is available for dashboards on all interfaces including MicroStrategy Workstation, Web, and Library. With MicroStrategy Geospatial Services, you now have access to advanced geospatial analytics features that allow users to get more out of their location data.

You must have a valid Geospatial license to download a production key to ensure compliance with your MicroStrategy contract. Check with your Account Executive to see if you are eligible or to request a trial

To begin using Mapbox, you must first generate a Geospatial Key.

How to Generate a Key

  1. Go to the MicroStrategy download site.

  2. Click Generate Keys and choose Geospatial Key.

  3. Agree to the terms and conditions and click Generate. The key is emailed to you. Once you have the key, you can configure MicroStrategy. See Configure Mapbox Visualizations for more information.
