Attribute Display dialog box
The Attribute Display dialog box allows you to set the attribute form display options for the attributes that you place in your template or report. You can select, for each attribute, which attribute forms appear on the report and in the Report Objects, or you can use the attribute's default setting.
Attribute Display is an OLAP Services feature and you must have the "Use report objects" and "Set attribute display" privileges to use this feature. For more information on privileges, see Controlling Access to Functionality: Privileges in the System Administration Help..
Attribute Display contents
This dialog box contains the following options:
-
Attribute: This drop-down list contains all the attributes on the report/template.
-
Use the attribute's default display settings: This is the default selection. The default display setting is the attribute forms that were chosen when the attribute was created.
-
Use the following attribute forms: Select this check box to use attribute forms other than the default forms that were selected during attribute creation.
-
Available forms: This list contains the attribute forms of the selected attribute. Any form that appears in this list can be moved to the Displayed forms or Report Objects forms lists by selecting the form and then clicking the appropriate right arrow.
If you want more attribute forms, your project designer can create them for you in the Attribute Editor.
-
Displayed forms: This list contains the attribute forms that appear in your report/template. If you decide not to use a form, select it and use the left arrow to return it to the Available forms list.
When an attribute is added to Displayed forms, it is also added to Report Objects forms.
-
Report Objects forms: (For reports only) This list contains the attribute forms that are held in the Report Objects. These attributes are not currently displayed on the report, but can be added without requiring the report to be re-executed.
By default, attribute forms are not shown in the Report Objects display. See Steps to show attribute forms in Report Objects for instructions.
