MicroStrategy ONE

Disabling drilling for a project

Drilling allows you to look at specific data at levels other than that of the originally displayed grid or graph. It allows you to retrieve more information after a report has been executed. By default, drilling is enabled for all reports in the project, but you can disable drilling across the project.

If drilling is disabled for the project, when a user right-clicks an object in a report and selects Drill, the message "No drill path found" is displayed.

You can also disable drilling for a specific report. For instructions, see Disabling drilling for a report.

Prerequisite

The project must contain an empty drill map. For instructions on creating drill maps, see Creating a new drill map.
