Disabling drilling for a report

Drilling allows you to look at specific data at levels other than that of the originally displayed grid or graph. It allows you to retrieve more information after a report has been executed. By default, drilling is enabled for all reports, but you can disable drilling for a specific report.

You can also disable drilling for the entire project. For instructions, see Disabling drilling for a project.

To disable drilling for a report

1. Open the report to disable drilling on. (For steps to run a report, see Running a report.)

2. Select Report Data Options from the Data menu. The Report Data Options dialog box opens.

3. Under Categories, expand General, and then select Drilling. General – Drilling appears on the right side of the editor.

4. Clear the Enable report drilling box, which is selected by default.

5. Click OK.
