Signing in to Citrix GoToMeeting by Scanning a QR Code

Citrix GoToMeeting® users can log in using their smartphones to scan a QR code displayed on the computer screen. After you integrate the web application with MicroStrategy Identity, the Citrix GoToMeeting login page displays a QR code.

The following steps contain only the information required to configure or use GoToMeeting with MicroStrategy Identity. See the appropriate third-party documentation for the latest information.

You have GoToMeeting for Enterprise.

You have administrative privileges and can access the Citrix GoToMeeting Organization Center.

To log in to GoToMeeting with MicroStrategy Identity, the email address associated with each user's GoToMeeting account must match the email address associated with the user's badge.

To display a custom image on the GoToMeeting login page, you must create the image to display. Supported image formats are .png, .jpeg, and .jpg files.

If your GoToMeeting users are populated from an identity management (IDM) system such as Microsoft Active Directory or OpenLDAP, MicroStrategy recommends that you add users to your Identity Network by synchronizing MicroStrategy Identity with the same IDM system as GoToMeeting. This helps add user information to MicroStrategy Identity and may be easier than adding users manually or by importing a file. For steps, see Synchronizing Users from Microsoft Active Directory or Synchronizing Users from OpenLDAP.

To Integrate GoToMeeting with MicroStrategy Identity

  1. Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager.
  2. Click Logical Gateways.
  3. Under Web Application Login, click More, then click GoToMeeting.
  4. To change the image that is displayed on your GoToMeeting login page:
    1. Next to the image preview, click Import An Icon.
    2. Select an image to display and click Open.
  5. In the Enter Display Name field, provide a name to display on your GoToMeeting login page. The name can be up to 30 characters long.
  6. Note the URL for the MicroStrategy Identity provider metadata. The metadata includes a configuration file that GoToMeeting uses to automatically configure the settings for connecting to MicroStrategy Identity. The metadata also contains the Identity security certificate for your GoToMeeting site.
  7. In a new browser window or tab, log in to your Citrix GoToMeeting Organization Center.
  8. Open the Identity Provider tab. From the drop-down list, select Automatic.
  9. For the metadata URL, type the URL for the MicroStrategy Identity provider metadata.
  10. Save your changes.
  11. In MicroStrategy Identity Manager, click Next, then click Done.

To log in to GoToMeeting, users can click the Use my company ID link on the GoToMeeting login page. When they enter their email address, a QR code is displayed. Users scan the QR code using the MicroStrategy Badge app on their smartphones, and are logged in to GoToMeeting.
