Renaming, Hiding, or Deleting Keys
Follow the steps below to rename, hide, show, or delete the keys that users can tap in their MicroStrategy Badge app to unlock physical locations.
You must integrate your physical access control system (PACS) with MicroStrategy Identity. For steps, see Physical Gateways.
To Rename, Hide, Show, or Delete Keys
- Log into MicroStrategy Identity Manager:
- Click Physical Gateways.
- Under Building Access, click Edit. All keys for the physical access system are displayed.

Locate the key that you want to rename, show, hide, or delete. Use the Search Keys field to find a key.
Keys are displayed according to type. Click a link to filter the list:
- All Keys: Displays all the keys in the Identity network, including single, group, and batch keys.
- Single Keys: Displays all the individual keys in the Identity network. You can select multiple keys to combine into a group key or a batch key.
- Group Keys: Displays all the group keys in the Identity network. A group key is a key that displays related individual keys on a single screen. To create group keys, see Grouping Keys into a Single Layout.
- Batch Keys: Displays all the batch keys in the Identity network. A batch key is a key that activates multiple keys at once. To create batch keys, see Allowing Multiple Keys to be Used for a Single Action.

Click the name of the key that you want to modify or delete.
To Modify a Key:
- To rename the key, type the new name. This is the name shown in the MicroStrategy Badge app.
- Under Key Hiding, choose whether to Hide or Show the key in the MicroStrategy Badge app.
- Click Publish to save the changes.
To Delete a Key:
- To delete a group key or a batch key, click Delete.
- To delete a single key, update the PACS configuration. The single key is deleted from MicroStrategy Identity Manager.
