Options dialog box: Display tab

From the Display tab of the Options dialog box, you can configure how the results of a script are displayed. You can also configure the display of your script in the Script window, by setting options such as the font and font size, or enabling or disabling syntax highlighting or Auto-complete.

The Results section of the Display tab contains the following settings:

  • Default Results Target: display the results of a script in one of the following formats:
    • Text (plain text)
    • Grid (spreadsheet-like, for export to a CSV file)
    • File (an external text file)
    • List (a bulleted list) (the default format)
  • Suppress hidden object(s) in the result: disable or enable the listing of hidden objects after a LIST instruction. Hidden objects are MicroStrategy metadata objects whose HIDDEN property is set.

The Editor section of the Display tab contains the following settings:

  • Font: select the font to be used for the text in the Script window editing pane. For more information, including instructions, see Changing the script display font.
  • Size: select the size of the font to be used for the text in the Script window editing pane. For more information, including instructions, see Changing the script display font.
  • Enable Text Coloring: enable or disable the use of syntax highlighting in the Script window editing pane.
  • Enable Auto-complete: enable or disable the use of Auto-complete in the Script window editing pane.
