Save As in Mosaic Models

Starting in Strategy One (April 2026), you can use save as when saving Mosaic models to make edits to a model and save the model as a new version, maintaining the existing version before edits.

You can not use save as when editing a Mosaic model in a dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • To save as a Mosaic model, you must have Read access to all objects in the model.

  • To save as a Mosaic model that includes security filters, you must have Control access to the model.

Security Access

When saving as a new Mosaic model:

  • The model inherits the access control list (ACL) of its parent folder and grants the creator full control access.

  • Objects in the new model retain the same ACLs from the source model.

Save As a Mosaic Model

  1. In the left Navigation pane, click Data.

  2. Right-click a Mosaic model and choose Edit.

  3. Make your required changes.

  4. Expand the drop-down list next to Save and choose Save as.

  5. Type a Name and optional Description.

  6. Choose a target folder.

  7. Click Save.
