Saving a custom autostyle

An autostyle is a pre-defined set of styles that you can apply to a template or report, to change the appearance of the report. Each autostyle provides a distinctive format, color schema, and font to change the appearance of a report.

MicroStrategy comes with a number of autostyles, but you can also create your own custom autostyle, by formatting a report and saving it as an autostyle.

To create and save a custom autostyle

1. Open the report or template:

   • Open it in the Report Editor

   • Open it in the Report Viewer

   • Open it in the Template Editor

2. Format the report as desired.

3. From the Grid menu, select Save AutoStyle. The Save AutoStyle As dialog box opens.

4. Specify a name for the autostyle and, if necessary, the folder in which to save it.

   By default, the autostyle is saved in the My Objects folder, which displays it on the Autostyles drop-down list in reports.

5. Click Save.
