Finding an MDX cube to select for a report in MicroStrategy

1. In MicroStrategy Developer, from the File menu, point to New, and then select Report. The New Grid dialog box opens.

2. On the MDX Sources tab, select a database instance connected to an MDX cube source and click OK. The Select Cube dialog box opens.

3. Select Find. The Find dialog box opens.

4. Enter your search string in the Find Cube field.

5. In the Search drop-down list, select whether to search on the Cube name or the SAP BW Technical Name. You can only search on the Technical Name if you are connected to an SAP BW server.

6. Select the Match Case check box to match the case of your search string with the MDX cube names.

7. Click Find Next to highlight the next MDX cube that meets the search criteria. Continue to click Find Next until you find the MDX cube you are searching for.
