MicroStrategy ONE
Steps to apply gradient colors using the Property List
Before you begin
-
This is not a full procedure; it is used as part of another procedure. For example, it assumes that you have selected the object to format and that the Property List is displayed.
-
To return to the original procedure, use the Back button in the Help toolbar.
Gradient colors blend two colors to create a gradual color change in the background of the control.
To apply gradient colors
-
In Backcolor, select the first color to apply, using the Color dialog box.
-
In Gradient color, select the second color to use to create a gradual color change in the background of the text field. The Backcolor and Gradient Color are blended together.
-
In Gradient variant, specify the direction of the shading between the Backcolor and Gradient Color. The options are:
-
Left to Right
-
Right to Left
-
Top to Bottom
-
Bottom to Top
-
Horizontal Centered
-
Vertical Centered
If you choose Horizontal centered or Vertical centered, you are applying a three-way or mirror gradient, which can be displayed in Flash Mode (MicroStrategy Web) only. In other MicroStrategy Web view modes and in MicroStrategy Developer, three-way gradients are rendered as non-mirrored gradients. For more information, see Applying three-way (mirror) gradients.
