Renaming consolidation elements

Each consolidation element is identified by a name. By default, they are labeled New Consolidation Element, New Consolidation Element (1), and so on, although you can rename them since the names are displayed on reports.

You can change the default names of consolidation elements, since these names are displayed on reports.

Prerequisite

This procedure assumes that you have created a consolidation, and that the consolidation already contains an element. For instructions to create a consolidation with an element, see Creating consolidations; for steps to create an element in an existing consolidation, see Creating consolidation elements.

To rename a consolidation element

1. If the Consolidation Editor is not open, access it. (How?)

2. Right-click the consolidation element in the Elements for this consolidation pane, then select Rename Element.

3. Type the new name and press Enter.

4. Save the consolidation. (How?)
