MicroStrategy ONE
Level dialog box
Before you begin
This topic assumes a basic understanding of levels, including hierarchies. For more information, see The level of data aggregation.
The Level dialog box allows you to define the output level and break by value for metric qualifications and relationship qualifications whether you are working with a filter, custom group, or report limit.
-
The output level is the level at which the MicroStrategy engine calculates metric results.
-
For a custom group or relationship qualification, you can select the attributes at which to calculate the set. See Level: Output tab for more information.
-
For a metric qualification in a filter, you can choose to calculate the output at the level of the metric, report, or selected attributes. See Level: Output tab (metric qualification filter) for more information.
-
For a report limit, you cannot set the output level.
-
If a metric qualification uses rank or percent, the break by value is the attribute level at which to restart counting rank or percent values for a metric. The options are the same, regardless of whether you are working with a custom group, filter, or report limit. See Level: Breakby tab for more information.
