MicroStrategy ONE
The R Integration Pack is no longer supported as of December 2024.
Upgrading MicroStrategy Projects
If you have MicroStrategy projects that existed before the installation of the R script functions, you must upgrade the projects using the MicroStrategy Configuration Wizard.
If you upgraded a previous version of the R script functions, upgrading a project ensures that any changes to the R script functions since your previous installation are applied to the project.
See ReadMe.txt for information on whether the R script functions were modified for the most recent release. If you are upgrading a version of the R script functions from more than one release prior, upgrade a project to ensure that any R script function changes are applied.
For MicroStrategy Desktop configurations, the R script functions are included with the standard installation of MicroStrategy Desktop.
The steps below show you how to add or upgrade the R script functions for existing MicroStrategy projects by upgrading the projects.
To Add or Upgrade R Script Functions for Existing MicroStrategy Intelligent Enterprise Projects
- Open the MicroStrategy Configuration wizard.
- Select Upgrade existing environment to MicroStrategy <version>, and click Next.
- Select Intelligence Server Components, and click Next.
- Enter the credentials for the MicroStrategy admin and click Next.
- For each project to add the R script functions to, select the Re-execute the Project Logical Upgrade checkbox.
- For the Local Host Intelligence Server, select Re-execute Metadata Repository Upgrade, and click Next.
- Click Finish.
- When the upgrade is complete, restart any MicroStrategy Intelligence Server that is connected to the project metadata that was upgraded. The R script functions are added to the list of Data Mining Functions available when creating metrics, including the functions RScript, RScriptU, RScriptAgg, RScriptAggU, and RScriptSimple.
Windows: Click Start and navigate to Programs > MicroStrategy Tools > Configuration Wizard.
Linux: From a Linux console window, browse to HOME_PATH, where HOME_PATH is the directory that you specified as the home directory during installation. Browse to the bin folder and enter ./mstrcfgwiz.
After you have installed the R script functions, the MicroStrategyR Package must be installed on systems that are being used to develop your R analytics.
