Filter a Dashboard

To modify the applied filter, click Filter . The filtered attributes appear with a list selected filter values. Click More to hide the Filter Summary. Click Pin to keep the filter panel open while viewing your dashboard.

What's the Filter Summary?

The Filter Summary Bar is located at the top of the dashboard and shows the number of filters applied to the data and provides high-level information on the filters themselves. The view changes as you make selections in the filter panel.

Filter interactions is disabled if the Disable Interaction in Library setting was enabled for a filter.

The filter panel only displays filters that are already applied to the chapter of the dashboard. You cannot create new filters in Library, but you can modify existing ones.

Click the filtered attribute to view all available filter options.

Select or deselect values to filter on. Click Clear to delete a selection already on the filter panel.

In some instances, a filter bar appears containing two or more attributes connected with a line. This means the author of the dashboard configured an attribute filter to target another attribute filter. Making a selection to a parent filter will immediately update the selections of targeted filters. This ensures you avoid selecting filter elements that do not return data.
