Select Execution Settings Page

On this page you set the report timeout, number of concurrent reports to run, and test output directory. You can also enable logging and determine the location of the Integrity Manager log file.

  1. In the Max Timeout field, specify the length of time, in minutes, that a report can run before Integrity Manager cancels it. Setting this value too low can result in your reports timing out before they finish executing.
  2. If the timeout setting for Intelligence Server is less than Integrity Manager's timeout setting, reports can time out before the time allotted in this field.

  3. In the Concurrent Jobs field, specify how many reports Integrity Manager attempts to run at one time. If you are executing a performance test, set this number to 1 for the most accurate results.

Setting this number higher than the default value, especially on an Intelligence Server that is being used in production, can cause an extreme load on Intelligence Server. This can cause your reports to timeout or, in severe cases, can cause Intelligence Server to shut down unexpectedly.

  4. Select the Use Cache option to have Integrity Manager use the cache for any reports, documents, or dashboards that have been cached. This can reduce the load on the Intelligence Server.

If this option is cleared, Integrity Manager executes each object against the Intelligence Server, creating a new cache.

  5. Enable the Include Hidden Objects in Search Objects option to allow the execution of hidden objects in search. All objects, hidden or visible, will be executed when they are included in a search file.

This flag will be disabled in Baseline versus Baseline mode and Baseline versus Project mode.

  6. In the Output Directory field, specify where the report results are saved. For information about what results are saved to this directory, see Viewing the saved results of a test.
  7. Select the Store output in a time-stamped sub-folder of this directory option to save the report output in subfolders of the output directory, named by date and time of the Integrity Manager execution.

If this option is cleared, when the test is run the previous contents of the output subfolder are deleted and the test results are saved directly in the output subfolder. For more information about the directory structure of saved test results, see Accessing the saved results of a test.

  8. To enable logging, select the Enable logging check box. Specify the name and location for the log file in the field below the check box.
  9. Click Next.
