Strategy One
Mainstream support for legacy tools such as Developer, Command Manager, and Object Manager is set to end December 2026. Strategy suggests that you upgrade to Workstation to maintain continuity and utilize modern capabilities. For more information on functional parity between these tools and Workstation, see the Workstation vs Legacy Tools Feature Parity dashboard.
Login dialog box
When you start Command Manager, or when you attempt to connect to a project source, the Login dialog box opens. To log in, you must:
- Select a project source name
- Enter a MicroStrategy login that has the Use Command Manager privilege for that project source
- Enter a valid password for the login
After you provide this information, a Script window opens and you can begin using Command Manager.
You can also choose to work in connection-less mode, by selecting Connection-less session and clicking OK. In this mode you can create, edit, save, and print scripts, but you cannot execute them unless you connect to a project source with the CONNECT command. For more information on connection-less sessions, see Working without a connection to a server.
A given connection can have up to five scripts. You can establish multiple simultaneous connections to one or more project sources. You must log in for each connection. To do this, from the File menu, select Connect (or click the Connect icon on the toolbar).
