Modifying a Style Map

This topic provides instructions on modifying a style map. Step-by-step instructions are provided for the following modifications.

Modifying the default map to style

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

  3. Click on Style Maps to expand the list of style maps used in MicroStrategy Web.  

  4. Double-click the style map you wish to modify to display Style Map Properties.  

  5. If you wish to specify a default style to which the style selected above should map to if the mapping conditions are not satisfied, then check the box for Default Map To Style and select the default style from the drop-down menu.

    To remove the default style to which the style selected above should map to if the mapping conditions are not satisfied, clear the box for Default Map To Style.  

  6. Save your changes.

Modifying a mapping condition

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.  

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.  

  3. Click on Style Maps to expand the list of style maps used in MicroStrategy Web.  

  4. Double-click the style map you wish to modify to display Style Map Properties.  

  5. Click the appropriate button (Add, Delete or Edit) in the Map Condition section to modify the mapping condition.  

    • To add a mapping condition, click Add. This launches the Map Condition Wizard. See Adding a Mapping Condition for details on how to specify a mapping condition.  

    • To delete a mapping condition, select the mapping condition you wish to delete and click Delete.  

    • To edit a mapping condition, select the mapping condition you wish to edit and click Edit. See Editing a Mapping Condition for details on how to edit a mapping condition.  

  6. Save your changes.
