Hiding a Page Section

A page template does not display any page section that is empty. Thus, hiding a page section is accomplished by forcing that page section to use an empty file (Empty.jsp or Empty.ascx). You can use either of the following methods.

Interactivity with MicroStrategy Web is enabled

Make sure you have completed the Enabling Interactivity with MicroStrategy Web step before proceeding further.

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.
  2. Access the MicroStrategy Web page for which you wish to hide the page section.
  3. Right-click anywhere on the page on which you want to hide a section, and select HidepageSectionNameSection from the context menu, where pageSectionName is the name of the page section such as header, content, etc. The MicroStrategy Web page is automatically refreshed with your customization change.

To show a hidden section, right-click anywhere on the page, click Show Section and select ShowpageSectionNameSection where pageSectionName is the name of the page section such as header, content, etc. The page section uses the default file to display the content.
