Creating a New Empty Page

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on creating a new empty MicroStrategy Web page with only the basic properties defined. If you wish to copy an existing MicroStrategy Web page or inherit properties from an existing MicroStrategy Web page, see Creating a New Page.

  1. Launch the Web Customization Editor.

  2. Click on MicroStrategy Web Configuration inside the Application Settings view to expand the hierarchical tree. The expanded list comprises the different settings that can be modified to perform customizations.

  3. Right-click Pages and select New Empty Page.

  4. Enter a name for the page, and click OK. The new empty page is created and opens on the right hand panel, displaying the Basic Properties tab. You can define properties for this page using tabs at the bottom. Refer to Page Content and Layout Manipulations for instructions.

  5. If you make any modifications to the empty page, you must save your changes.
