History List Dialog
The History List page allows you to set default options for reports and documents scheduled to be sent to the History List, such as whether a scheduled report will overwrite older versions of its results. To access this page, see How to Access Project Defaults and User Preferences
Options denoted with an asterisk (*) are available only to you as the administrator. They do not appear as options in the User Preferences section that is accessible by users.
Fields
* Add reports and documents to my History List: Determine whether reports and documents are Automatically added to the History List or whether they must be added to the History List Manually.
If you selected Manually, you must specify the number of recently run reports and documents kept active for manipulation. The default value is 10.
Reports and documents are available for manipulation even if they are not saved to the History List.
Changes to the number of reports and documents available for manipulation takes effect the next time you log in.
The results of scheduled reports get added to the History List.
* The new scheduled report will overwrite older versions of itself: Determine whether or not the older results of a scheduled report or document are replaced by the most recent version of those results. This checkbox is selected by default.
* Pre-generate export in subscriptions: Determine the format in which documents scheduled to be sent to the History List are pre-generated. The options are:
-
HTML (default)
-
PDF
-
Excel
* Duplicate Message on Reprompt or Refresh: Determine if new History List entries are created for re-prompted versions of reports or documents. For example, you run a report and add it to the History List. Then, you re-prompt the report and a new report is displayed. You can determine if this newly executed, re-prompted report is saved to the History List. Select the checkbox to ensure that a report is saved separately to the History List every time you re-prompt a report or document. This checkbox is cleared by default.
