Manage and Verify Your Licenses

Strategy licenses are managed differently according to the license type that is purchased. Refer to your Strategy contract and any accompanying contract documentation for descriptions of the different Strategy license types.

Strategy uses two main categories of licenses:

• Named User Licenses, in which the number of users with access to specific functionality are restricted
• CPU Licenses, in which the number and speed of the CPUs used by Strategy server products are restricted

Strategy License Manager can assist you in administering your Strategy licenses. For information about License Manager, see Using License Manager.

When you obtain additional licenses from MicroStrategy, use License Manager to update your license information. For details, see Update Your License.
