Subtotals dialog box: Definition tab
The Definition tab allows you to select the subtotal(s) to use on the report.
When you select a subtotal in the Available subtotalslist, the description column on the right-hand side of the dialog box updates to reflect the last selected subtotal. You can also do the following:

Clear All clears all selected subtotals.

Advanced opens the Advanced Subtotals Options dialog box, which allows you to select the level the subtotal is applied at by position, for each subtotal.

If the icon for a subtotal in the Available subtotals list contains an exclamation mark (!), that subtotal is not available on all the metrics in the report. Click on the subtotal to view its description, which provides the metrics attached to the subtotal.

By default, subtotals are disabled for consolidations. Any objects placed to the left of the consolidation on the report cannot be subtotaled. If this is the case, a warning appears in this dialog box. For more information, see About consolidations and subtotals.
