Steps to set initial outline display

Use this procedure to have a report or document display with the outline initially collapsed, expanded, to have a specific outline level displayed.

1. Run the report or edit the document's Grid/Graph:

   • Run a report

   • Open the document, then double-click the Grid/Graph to edit it

2. From the Grid menu, choose Display Outline Results. The report is displayed in outline mode.

3. From the Grid menu, select Options.

4. On the General tab, select one of the following Outline options:

   • Open with all outline levels expanded opens the report with all outline levels expanded.

   • Open with all outline levels collapsed opens the report with all outline levels collapsed.

   • Open outline expanded up to this level opens the report expanded up to the level you select from the drop-down list. The list becomes available once you choose this option.

5. Click OK to close the Grid Options dialog box.

6. From the File menu, select Save to save your outline mode settings with the report's definition.
