Graph Options: Web/HTML Document Display tab

The settings on this tab apply by default to all graph reports within this project. They can be overridden by similar settings within specific graph reports. To apply similar settings only to a specific graph report, see Preferences dialog box.

The Web/HTML Document Display tab of the Graph Options dialog box allows you to set default options for Web/HTML document display. The options include the following:

Graph dimensions

Select one of the following options:

  • Save dimensions when report is closed: Saves the width and height of the graph when the report is closed.

  • Use these pixel dimensions: Allows you to set the dimensions, in pixels, for the width and height of the graph. Specify a number between 1 and 9999 for both the Width and the Height.

  • Lock aspect ratio of X by Y from the Size tab: Uses the ratio dimensions defined in the Size tab.

  • Expand background frame to accommodate recalculated legend sizes: Automatically expands the size of the background frame if the recalculated legend size is larger than the current background frame. This setting is available only if the Re-calculate legend size automatically when data changes option in the Layout tab is selected.

This option overrides other sizing options and can lead to an unexpected frame size.

Other options

  • Show graph in format: Allows you to select a graph format from the list: GIF, JPEG, PNG, or BMP. In general, the PNG format reduces, and may even eliminate, any blurriness within graph reports. It is also the best format to use if you intend to use transparency effects in the graphs.
