MicroStrategy ONE
Applying report conditions to conditional metrics
When you create a conditional metric, you may want the metric to be calculated so that related elements of the filter specified as the condition for the metric and of the report filter are either ignored or taken into consideration. Related elements are those elements belonging to any attribute having a parent-child relationship with the attribute on which you are placing conditions.
By default, the related elements in the report filter are ignored. The following procedure changes the setting to allow the related elements to apply to the metric. For more information, see Removing related report filter elements.
Prerequisites
-
The metric is a conditional metric, that is, a metric with a filter. If the metric does not have a filter applied to it, see Setting metric conditionality.
-
The Remove related report filter elements setting works together with the Embedding method to affect the report filter/metric condition interaction. For more information, see Combining the embedding method and remove related elements settings.
To apply report conditions to a conditional metric

Open the metric in the Metric Editor. How?
