About custom group element headers

Each custom group element, or set of qualifications, is identified on a report by a header, or name. By default, custom group elements are named Custom Group Element1, Custom Group Element2, and so on. If you want, you can give a more descriptive name to custom group elements, since this name is displayed on reports by default.

For instructions, see Renaming custom group element headers.

If the element contains a banding qualification, you can also name the custom group bands.

You can change the position of a custom group's element headers on reports. The element headers can display above or below the individual items, that is, the attribute elements returned by the qualifications. For instructions, see Changing the position of element headers.

For examples of custom group element headers, see the Custom Groups and Consolidations chapter of the Advanced Reporting Help.
