Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met to use the MicroStrategy Teams App.

Necessary Privileges

To use the MicroStrategy Teams App, you must have the Use Application Office and Use Library Web privileges.

To consume dashboards in the MicroStrategy Teams App, you must have at least one of the following privileges:

• Web Create Dashboard
• Web Run Dashboard
• Mobile Run Dashboard
• Web Edit Dashboard

System Requirements

• A MicroStrategy ONE Update 12 or later environment with Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) is a mechanism that uses additional HTTP headers to tell a browser to let a web application running at one origin (domain) have permission to access selected resources from a server at a different origin. enabled. MicroStrategy Teams App uses MicroStrategy Library. For steps, see How to Enable CORS Settings.
• MicroStrategy Workstation ONE Update 12 or later to generate the manifest file. See Generate the Manifest File.
• MicroStrategy Library Server using the HTTPS protocol. You must have the appropriate certificate to use MicroStrategy Library with HTTPS protocol.
  
• MicroStrategy ONE Update 12 or later Intelligence Server. You must have the same version of the Intelligence Server and MicroStrategy Library.

• Library Authentication (which supports the following Library authentication methods):
  • Standard
  • LDAP
  • Guest
  • Identity
  • Any SAML 2.0 compliant idP
  • Okta (OIDC)
  • Azure AD (OIDC)
• Teams Single Sign-On

• Microsoft Teams Web
• Microsoft Teams Desktop

Supported Browsers

• Chrome
• Edge

Supported Operating Systems

• Windows 10 and 11

• macOS Ventura or Monterey

  iPhones and iPads are not currently supported.
