Properties Dialog Box, Layout Properties, Mobile

The Mobile options in the Layout Properties section of the Properties dialog box let you specify layout options for a document displayed on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device with MicroStrategy Mobile, such as whether the layout can be displayed in a portrait or landscape orientation on the mobile device, or whether the layout is used as an Information Window in a Map widget. The options are described below:

• Mobile
  • Supported Orientations: Specify the orientations in which the layout can be displayed on a mobile device. The options are:
    • Portrait and Landscape: The layout can be displayed in a portrait or landscape view.
    • Portrait Only: The layout can only be displayed in a portrait view (height is greater than width).
    • Landscape Only: The layout can only be displayed in a landscape view (width is greater than height) .
  • Display page-by interface: Determine whether to allow users to select a page-by element to display their data using the page-by interface on the mobile device.
  • Display the filter interface: Determine whether to allow users to change their prompt answers using the filter interface on the mobile device.
  • Use as Information Window for the map widget: Determine whether the layout can be used as an Information Window in a Map widget. You can use Information Windows to provide additional information about locations displayed on the map.
