Creating DSNs for Specific Data Sources

You can create a DSN for data sources available through the Connectivity Wizard. The following table lists the information required for each type of data source when you create a new DSN using the Connectivity Wizard. You can create a DSN from the command line version of the Connectivity Wizard in Linux. Browse to HOME_PATH/bin, where HOME_PATH is the directory you specified as the home directory during installation. In the console window, type ./mstrconnectwiz -h, then press Enter. This command displays command line syntax and examples for different database platforms. Create your command based on the syntax and examples displayed. Once you run your command, a DSN is created in the odbc.ini file.
