MicroStrategy ONE
MicroStrategy Badge for Mac (10.7 and Older)
You can enable users to unlock and lock their Mac computers by holding their smartphone with the MicroStrategy Identity app close to their computer. MicroStrategy Badge uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to send the user's encrypted credentials to the Mac and unlock it. The user does not have to enter a user name or password.
When you first enable passwordless unlocking and locking for a Mac, you establish a trusted relationship between the smartphone and the computer by pairing the two devices. This trusted relationship enables a user to securely unlock her computer using Bluetooth wireless technology, even if her computer is offline.
You can also use Badge for Mac to log in to SAML enabled websites by utilizing the bluetooth connection between your MicroStrategy Badge iOS app and MicroStrategy Badge for Mac. When you navigate to a supported website, such as Salesforce, the MicroStrategy Badge app sends the user's encrypted credentials to the SAML enabled site, logging in without requiring the user to scan a QR code, or accept a push notification.
A user can pair their smartphone with multiple computers; however, each computer can be paired to a single smartphone at a time.
If a user changes their computer's password, they will be prompted to enter the new password in the MicroStrategy Badge app.
